There are so many fantastic opportunities for children to learn outdoors, the natural environment is a teacher in itself!
*You could go on a walk and see how many different things you can hear, smell, see or touch......what can you see in the clouds - is it a dinosaur, a shape, a baby or a train?
*Creating colourful patterns and pictures with chalks on the paths - add a bit of water to mix the colours together - and don't panic it does wash off.
*Find some old pots and plant some seeds, this is a great way of helping children to discover how to look after things and give them a sense of achievement when they have grown something. They will watch how things change, what plants need to live and have a sense of responsibility.
*Set up a car wash - all you need are buckets, sponges and water - oh and cars or bikes, or even just washing the walls - or windows!
More ideas are below gathered from different online sources........
